Dagwood's Tavern, established in 1947 by Derwood Root in Lansing, Michigan, near Michigan State University, has a rich history as a local gathering spot. Originally a local bar named Nim’s, it was renamed for its more memorable connection to the comic strip character, Dagwood. The building, dating back to 1901, features a unique architectural style with interior elements resembling exterior designs. A favored spot among politicians, auto workers, and sports fans, particularly when East Lansing was a dry city, Dagwood's is renowned for its made-to-order hamburgers and hand-cut fries. Ordered what I think may have been the last Mitten State decal in inventory on Dec 28 (it has since been sold out), promised for delivery by Jan 10 and received on Jan 9. Very pleased and it looks great! Love the "dot" to be able to indicate my hometown of St Joseph. My brother, who lives in IN, wanted one after seeing mine and he's waiting for the re-stock.
