Bill's Bio:

WOOD TV8 Chief Meteorologist Emeritus Bill Steffen has been a familiar and friendly face in West Michigan since November of 1974. His love of weather began at an early age. At 8 years old, Bill set up a weather station in his backyard and proceeded to phone in snow totals to the local TV station. His very first appearance on air was in 1967 to test the new cable TV in Winnetka, Ill. The ever-industrious Bill opted to wear his Boy Scout uniform because he lacked a proper suit and tie. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, the Chicago native joined WZZM as a meteorologist.
It was here he faced a once-in-a-lifetime event: the Blizzard of 1978. For two days, the storm raged, dumping close to 2 feet of snow in West Michigan. Bill helmed every forecast for 72 hours straight, getting very little sleep in between newscasts. For an entire viewing area crippled under a historic snowfall, Bill Steffen was a beacon in the dark. He became chief meteorologist there in 1985 and then joined 24 Hour News 8 in 2001. In July 2021, he transitioned to chief meteorologist emeritus, taking a new role while remaining a key part of Storm Team 8.Bill and his wife live in the Grand Rapids area. His family said Bills devotion to forecasting is unmatched only by his devotion to his family.
Bill has been honored with numerous broadcast awards and hes very active in the West Michigan community. Generations of viewers have shared Bills excitement about the weather thanks to his thousands of classroom visits and volunteer work. He has worked with the regional Math Counts Competition and the Science Olympiad, and hes an honorary chair of fundraising for the Grand Rapids Planetarium.
Bill has been the chairman of the Red Cross Heroes Campaign. Hes also on the marketing committee and board of directors for the Gerald R. Ford Boy Scout Council and the advisory board for Youth for Christ. He also writesBills Blogonwoodtv.com.

Bought this as a gift, and the amount of joy it brought my friend was worth every last penny. Super soft, true to size, and the picture is unmistakably Bill himself.
Love the shirt, soft, washes well. Good cause. Also Bill is the best in the West!
Cute tees going to give some visitors this summer!
I bought a small mystery tshirt and loved it so much I took a chance and bought another one (medium this time). I crossed my fingers hoping I wouldn't get the exact same shirt. I didn't and I love both of my Michigan themed mystery tshirts.
It seems really soft. I’m sure my son will love it as he’s a big Michigan fan.
All these T-shirts are buttery soft and fit great, also love you are offering a graphic free option now.

THE MITTEN - USA (UNISEX)
The shirt is comfortable and soft
Highly recommend for its quality and fit. The tshirt stays soft after multiple wash and never lost the shape/color and softness. I highly recommend this t-shirt for its exceptional quality and perfect fit. It retains its softness even after multiple washes, and its shape and color remain intact throughout.
