ALL THE ROADS ARE CLOSED.

We've got a few state symbols in Michigan: animals, stones, birds. And don't get us wrong; they're all majestic symbols that represent the best of this place we call home.

We've also got some unofficial symbols. One of them is the construction barrel. Trying to drive home this time of year is like playing a game of whack-a-mole. This ramp's closed, this street has a detour, that lane is getting repaved. So it goes.

Seems like August announced itself by ramping up (pun intended) construction to epic levels 'round these parts. It's in FULL bloom:
