"I had the fortune to be drafted to a wonderful city. I fit in there perfectly... Because... When you're drafted, you never know where you're going to end up--
But there was no better place for me than Detroit."

Every summer, The Score hauls in palm trees, books live music, and slings ice cold drinks to all who enter (well, maybe not everyone... there are laws, you know). The opening of their Sunset Beach Bar marks the beginning of summer. And this year, they asked us to cook up a special TMS vintage shirt just for them. Something that captured their essence. Something super soft. And we did.
And now they want to hook you up. If you haven't been to the Sunset Beach Bar, stop reading and go now. You won't be dissappointed. Unless you hate tropical palm trees, sand at your feet, and a light breeze skipping over the water. In that case, you'd be a weirdo and most likely should be fighting polar bears in the Arctic Circle with an army of huskies.
Anyway, back to the hook up part - The Score is giving away 2 free vintage TMS shirts every month! Sign up for their email newsletter (it's neither annoying or creepy, we promise!) and you're automatically entered to win each month. It's that easy.

Today in 1983, the Michigan Panthers won the first USFL Championship title by taking down the Philadelphia Stars in Denver. Quarterback Bobby Heber connected with wide receiver Anthony Carter (yeah, that Anthony Carter) on a 48 yard touchdown pass in the 4th quarter, ending the game 24-22.
It was the first pro football league in Michigan since the Lions in 1957.

Today in 1973, Detroit Tigers pitcher Jim Perry started against the Cleveland Indians. The Indians starting pitcher? Jim's brother, Gaylord Perry. It was the first time in American League history that brothers pitched against each other.
