About This Design:
Identifying the cherry as a symbol for Traverse City didn't take too long. An early variation had a single cherry, but it looked a little like a tomato so we doubled up, connected them with a stem and added a mouth to imply the enjoyment that something so simple can bring to people. The typography was arced to maintain a 1970s print shop feel.
