About This Design:

Designed in Michigan | Made in USA | The MItten StateDetroit has some of the coolest nicknames of any city in the USA.  Mo-Town, D-Town, Detroit Rock City, The D.  We love the Motor City nickname because of its single-minded message. So we wanted something angular and hard that would match auto industry themes like engines and pistons for this shirt. We infused some vintage strokes manually into the typography to give it a slight hand drawn, retro look.

Founded in 1701, Detroit is Michigan's largest city. By the 1830's, the emergence of shipping, shipbuilding, and manufacturing was making Detroit a transportation hub, a reputation that was solidified by the auto industry during the 20th century. We love the Motor City for what it was, what it is, and where it hopes to be. Super soft print on a vintage t-shirt blend of 50/25/25 cotton/poly/rayon for extra vintage-osity. This Detroit shirt was designed and printed in Michigan. Made in the USA.
